Step #2 Get Your Graphics Ready
Product graphics are very important in determining how your item is viewed in the marketplace. If you are not skilled at creating graphics, and you take the do-it-yourself route, you might project a very amateurish look.
There are a wide range of tools and services that you can use to create product graphics and save yourself the embarrassment of being turned down by customers and affiliates because your product lacks professional appeal.
The graphics you will need for your product include one that represents the product itself, such as an eCover, software box, etc. Just because your product is digital, it doesn’t mean you can neglect a visual representation of what you are selling.
If you want to use a tool to create the image, there are many templates you can look into that are both free and paid, where you can simply edit an existing image and put your own title and graphics into it.
Stock photo sites are a great place to find the images you need to represent your product. Whether it is an illustration of a certain item, or a background image that will match the color scheme you were hoping to achieve, you can find it on sites like Pixabay, iStockPhoto, Unsplash, and DepositPhotos.
Canva is a wonderful tool that has different levels of pricing, including free and paid options. Here, you can create graphics such as slide presentations, eCovers, social networking images, and more.
They have a large selection of templates for you to work from that have image placement as well as font designs already in use. You have the ability to swap out anything you want, and there are many free elements you can insert into the graphic as well.
SmartMockups is another great graphics tool that many marketers use when creating product images. They have templates you can use for things like e-learning bundles, eCovers, and more.
Fiverr is an inexpensive marketplace that you can go to as a buyer to hire a freelance graphic designer to create your product images. There are services listed at anywhere from $5 and up.
You can look at the listing as well as the feedback and ratings of various service providers to see whose skill matches with the product image you have in mind. You can also look through the portfolios and see how their deliverables stack up against one another.
Upwork is another online marketplace designed to help match service providers with the entrepreneurs who need to hire them. Similar to Fiverr, you will be able to see their feedback and ratings as well as their portfolio and profile to determine who is the best fit for your project.
You’ll need graphics for the product itself as well as for your affiliates to use in their promotions of your launch. If you are selling something like private label rights, you can also use the options above to create images for your buyers to use with your content.
